The Sunrise
The other morning I had the privilege of watching the sun rise over the mountains to the east, crisp and clear; and watch the moon on the other side of the highway in the west sky as it grew and drifted down into the morning haze and the mountains to the west. It was almost like two different worlds on either side of the highway and, yet, both beautiful. It was like two different canvasses that God painted on this morning. The next morning I was able to witness a very similar scene but as the sun rose higher, the moon, as it typically does, dissappeared and became a faint, white, circular haze. God really impressed on me that this is the way it should be with Him. When we are in the darkness we should be glowing, reflecting the light from the Son but, when the Son is present, "Where two or three are gathered together in my name there I am in the midst of them", we should be barely visible, it should be all about the Son. I wonder... do we really do that?
