Audience of One

As we enter a new world around us of economic crisis, war, politics, greed and division, our patient and ever faithful Lord continues to teach me and instruct me. The most recent reminder that He has been overwhelming my thoughts with is that I should be living my life every moment of every day for the audience of One. The drive to be enduringly faithful, no matter who is watching, no matter if accolades exist or not, no matter if all that is offered is hate and selfishness in return. The One who is our sole audience and the sole reason for our performance is always watching, ever present and constantly faithful. Lord, please help me to live with a constant awareness of Your presence and Your never wavering attention to my attitude, my thoughts, my heart, my actions and my life. May I always stay faithful to living my life as a performance for my audience of One.
